About me
I love to be a doctor and have been running my own practice in Hamburg since 2002.
I began my career studying in Hamburg and throughout my clinical training I undertook numerous voluntary intern-ships within the fields of Anaesthesiology, (Hamburg), Cardiac and Vascular Surgery, Experimental Surgery within Transplantation Medicine (Switzerland) and Children’s and Adolescents Psychiatry (Austria).
It gives me great pleasure to work with my hands. I am interested in the communicative relationship between body and mind, Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) specialism was therefore an obvious choice for me because most of the sensory organs are located within this field.
The main influence to my professional development came from Professor Chilla whom I worked with for 10 years in Bremen.
There I learnt many diagnostic and the variety of therapeutical techniques from him. More importantly I also developed my caring attitude towards my patients which I try to hold onto within all my decision making processes.
I also practice using many alternative medical methods including acupuncture and homoeopathy, which I offer to my patients with appropriate conditions. I have attended training within psychosomatic medicine which also helps me with the diagnosis of other conditions.
To ensure I am both subjective and independent within my decision making processes, I stopped practising surgeries myself and refer my patients to appropriate consultants with whom I work closely with.
